Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Treatment
Performed through a single, tiny incision, Mild has a safety profile similar to an epidural steroid injection, but with lasting results. The procedure is nationally covered by Medicare (all ages, all plan types) and requires no general anesthesia, implants, stitches, steroids or opioids.
If your current LSS treatment isn’t providing you with adequate relief, Mild® could be your next step.
The following are recent studies about the efficacy of the MILD procedure:
Five-Year Durability Study: A study conducted by the Cleveland Clinic and published in the PAIN Practice journal in May 2021 demonstrated that 88% of patients avoided surgical decompression for at least five years after undergoing the MILD procedure. The study also showed significant pain relief and reduction in opioid medication usage at 3, 6, and 12 months post-procedure.
Three-Year Follow-Up Study: A study showcased at the ASPN 2023 Annual Conference
reported positive outcomes for patients treated with the MILD procedure over a three-year period, including improved functional ability and reduced symptoms of lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS).
Multicenter Randomized Controlled Study: The MOTION study, which followed patients for two years, showed that crossover patients treated with the MILD procedure experienced significant symptom relief and functional improvement.
